a short walk from this development, in a tranquil corner of the
village lays the village Mill Pond.
Surrounded by the Kettle Moraine Forest, the old mill house and
pond bring to mind an image from Currier and Ives.
The mill, which was once powered by the waters, now stands
as a private historic residence. The waters of the pond now
serve a different purpose, providing village residences with
a special place for recreation and relaxation.
The
many uses of the pond include, fishing, canoeing, a place for
an outdoor picnic, ice-skating or just taking a walk along the
paths surrounding the pond.

is the gateway to the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest, and
the forest park land is only a few minutes walk from Main Street.
The section of the forest adjacent to town contains a dramatic
combination of mature hardwoods, deep kettles and high ridges
overlooking the surrounding landscape.
The
Ice Age trail is one of our nation’s most extensive trail
systems, covering much of the state. The north-east branch of
the trial starts in Glenbeulah, and from here you can hike south
for more than 70 miles. The trail experience can be everything
from a casual walk to a hiking excursion where timber shelters
are available along the way. Paralleling the Ice Age trail is
the Bridle Trail for horse back riding and snowmobiling.
