Hillcrest recently purchased land within the New Holstein area of Sheboygan County. Please stay tuned for details on our plans, which include a combination of single family, condominiums and retail/commercial.
Kiwanis Park
By far the largest park in New Holstein, covering over 50 acres, this park was established in 1957 by the local Kiwanis Club as a location to build a new municipal swimming pool.
The park, which offers lighted paved walking and biking paths, baseball fields, lighted basketball courts, lighted tennis courts, horseshoe courts, shuffle board courts, a sand volleyball court, a lighted ice skating rink, 18 holes of Frisbee golf, and numerous soccer fields, is dissected by the meandering Jordan River which runs through its length.
Wooden bridges built by local scouts and organizations give access to the many picnic areas and shelters which are available to rent for parties and gatherings. Largest of these shelters is the New Holstein Community Center, a year round facility with a kitchen, meeting room, restrooms, and a large gathering space.
New Holstein Park
Directly in the middle of the park is the Langenfeld Pond, a one acre, man made pond. It has a handicap accessible dock for fishing, which can be done without a license. The pond is stocked with trout and bluegills by local conservation clubs.
On the northeast corner of Kiwanis Park stands the shining star of this open space, the New Holstein Aquatic Center, which opened in 2009. This excellent facility serves not only residents of New Holstein but also the surrounding area.
